Trivia Question❓

What is the nickname of the NHL team based in Edmonton, Alberta?

Answer at the bottom of the newsletter

Hey Edmonton!

It is Thursday!

The weekend is almost here!

In today's edition our feature story is all about the local man who just won the 'Amazing Race Canada'. A true heart-warming story.

We also have lots, and I mean LOTS, of activities to do this weekend. This edition is our biggest curation of Edmonton activities... so if you're looking for something fun to do, you have no excuses! lol!

Lets dig in!

The big story...!

In the news this week

A secret kept for months is finally out for former Sherwood Park resident Jesse Harink.

He and his best friend, Jonathon Braun, have been crowned the champions of Season 11 of Amazing Race Canada.

Their incredible journey began right here in Edmonton, with a heart-pounding rappel challenge at Commonwealth Stadium.

The duo traveled over 19,000 kilometres across the country, facing intense pressure after winning the first three legs of the race and putting a target on their backs.

Their victory comes with a life-changing grand prize: $250,000 cash, a trip around the world, and two new Chevrolet Blazer EVs.

Harink and Braun had to keep their win a secret from family and friends since filming concluded back in May.

Alberta was well-represented in the competition, with Edmonton couple Skylene and Blair Gladue also reaching the finale and finishing in fourth place.
