Trivia Question❓

Alberta experiences a unique warm winter wind phenomenon. What is it called?

Answer at the bottom of the newsletter

Happy Monday!

This week's issue is loaded with lots of things to do. 🥳

In today's issue is the update that most Albertans have been awaiting for some time now.

Lets go! 🥳

The big story...!

In the news this week

A landmark pipeline deal between Prime Minister Mark Carney and Alberta Premier Danielle Smith is reportedly imminent, sparking a major national debate.

The high-stakes agreement would pave the way for a new pipeline from Alberta to a port in Kitimat or Prince Rupert, opening lucrative access to Asian markets.

The proposal is a haunting echo of the failed Northern Gateway project and faces a firestorm of opposition.

B.C. Premier David Eby responded with fury, calling the secret talks a reckless betrayal of his province's environmental security.

Most critically, Coastal First Nations are "incredibly alarmed," vowing to fight any attempt to overturn the federal oil tanker ban that protects the Great Bear Rainforest.

They have made it clear their consent is required and will not be given, setting the stage for an intense political and legal battle.
